Ward and Smith, P.A. is a growing full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout North Carolina. We are seeking a Trusts and Estates Paralegal to join our Asheville office.

The role of the Trusts and Estates Paralegal is to draft correspondence and legal documents; confer with clients, insurance companies, financial institutions, and public officials; review tax strategies, gather information, and keep abreast of administrative changes; and work directly with clients to administer estates from qualification to closing. The overall goal is to assist attorneys in ensuring the client's wishes are fulfilled. All paralegal functions are performed under the supervision of an attorney.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional time management, organizational, and analytical skills; excellent client communications and service; proficient technology skills, including, but not limited to, MS Office Suite and general online research; and meticulous attention to detail with superior proofreading skills. The paralegal must be able to work independently, collaborating with team members as needed.

A Bachelor's Degree or a Paralegal Degree and at least one year of law firm experience with a preference to those who have trusts and estates specific experience.
