A law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney in New York, NY. The successful candidate will join a dynamic construction labor litigation practice, representing clients in all phases of construction-related litigation. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile cases and advance within the field of construction and insurance defense.

Duties

• Represent clients in insurance defense matters related to construction accidents and labor disputes.
• Manage and litigate cases from inception through resolution, including pre-trial and trial phases.
• Provide legal analysis and strategic advice on construction-related risk management.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents such as complaints and motions.
• Collaborate with insurance adjusters, risk managers, and expert witnesses.
• Maintain and manage a caseload efficiently while meeting deadlines.
• Stay current on developments in construction law and insurance defense.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in NY; NJ bar, a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance defense, with a focus on construction labor litigation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction law, including OSHA regulations and labor laws.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Proven track record in managing complex litigation.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar membership in NY; NJ bar, a plus.
