Legal & RIM Technology Specialist
The candidate will contact between outside counsel and Legal for access to and use of Recommends for document collection, review and production. Train in-house personnel and outside counsel on eDiscovery tools and document management. Supports and participates in the e-Discovery process. Collaborate with Information Security and IT teams to integrate Recommend as the primary collection tool for data collection from enterprise systems, eliminating manual processes where possible. Train and provide subject matter expertise in the use of the Exterro legal hold tool by paralegals, attorneys and IT support personnel. Collaborate with IT and business owners to create and update data maps to identify major data sources and document types that may contain discoverable information. Collaborate with RIM and email management teams to review data retention and data management policies and recommend modifications where necessary to management. Serves as internal and external contact regarding system and service requirements for preservation needs (working with vendors), archiving, retention and destruction policies (IT, legal, finance, governance boards). Bachelor's degree is preferred. Should have 5+ years of experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department or legal service providers (LSP's). Experience working with eDiscovery software with backend administrative responsibility. Experience assisting with the development of records retention and / or data preservation, collection policies and technologies related to legal holds. Experience working with multiple internal and external customers, senior management, and subject matter experts. Should demonstrated track record of ethical and authentic professional conduct. Should be clear and concise interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Experience working with Exterro Legal Hold tool is needed. Experience working with Recommend eDiscovery tool. Experience with Project Management is needed.
