Job Overview
A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate to join its growing team. This position offers a unique opportunity for a motivated attorney with at least two years of experience in general liability insurance defense litigation, including premises, NY Labor Law, and/or vertical transportation. Location

Duties

• Represent clients in a variety of insurance defense matters.
• Independently manage a litigation caseload from case initiation through resolution.
• Handle court appearances, depositions, and oral arguments.
• Conduct discovery, correspond with clients and counsel, and manage case files.
• Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Regularly provide clients with status updates.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance defense and general liability litigation.
• Admission to practice in New York State.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent academic credentials and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and work independently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• New York State Bar Admission.

Skills

• Expertise in insurance defense litigation, including premises liability, NY Labor Law, and/or vertical transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to handle complex litigation matters and negotiations.
• Time management skills and attention to detail.
