Awarded restauranteur, and three-time James Beard Award-nominated chef, is opening a very high-end Italian restaurant in the summer of 2018 and is seeking a seasoned, European-trained general manager / maitre d’ for an intimate, 60-seat concept in one of Detroit’s most affluent neighborhoods.
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000+ (depending on skill set), plus bonuses and benefits.
Quality of Life: Dinner service only, five shifts per week (closed Sunday & Monday). Attractive cost of living in surrounding areas, plus it’s a great sports town, boasts world-class museums, cultural events, and more.
General Manager / Maitre d’ Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in award-winning European/Italian fine dining restaurants in major markets such as NYC, Miami, Los Angeles, Rome, Milan, Paris, London, etc.
Extensive wine knowledge
Trained in French service
Understands a pointed system
