Sr Manager Contracts
The candidate will work closely with the Program Directors/Managers and other program functions across the product line to construct, submit and negotiate pricing proposals, provide support to senior management regarding contractual and business issues, to ensure that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies, and to advise management of contractual rights and obligations and mitigation of contractual/program risks. Will be responsible for supervising classified programs associated with this portfolio. Use business acumen and program knowledge to understand programs performance, provide guidance and influence outcomes to achieve desired results. Review Request for Proposals (RFPs) for requirements and risks, while meeting company policies and standards. Lead proposal and contract negotiations, including customer relationship management, to achieve business objectives and ensure customer needs are met. Perform as key contributor during the pre-proposal strategy, proposal development, negotiation, and start-up phases of programs. This role also includes Goleta site/facility responsibilities. Will act as the agent of the company and will lead the program teams in business meetings, proposal activities, negotiations, forecast planning (bookings, cash, sales, and profit) and all other miscellaneous activities incidental to contract administration/management. Must have 15 years of experience in Contracts, Supply Chain, or related field; Should have a proven track record of success in contracting with an intimate understanding of terms and conditions. Must have knowledge of far, dfars, and itar. Should have ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and other business arrangements as well as the ability to contribute to negotiation strategies. Must have experience with Cost Reimbursable and Fixed Price Contracts.
