Aon is looking for a Property Claims Consultant in our Aon Global Risk Consulting Group As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our AGRC team. The qualified candidate can be based out of one of our many offices in the Mid-West. Your Impact as a Property Claims ConsultantApplicant should have an understanding of property insurance policy terms and conditions. Applicant must be proficient in managing client, carrier and insurance brokerage relationships. Excellent communication skills a must and should be able to effectively explain general property risk management concepts to prospective clients and internal business groups. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAdvocate on clients’ behalf as respects property damage and business interruption claimsAssist clients in presenting claims in accordance with policy termsDevelop claims strategy. Act as liaison between clients and insurers’ internal and external adjusters and experts. Follow through to final settlement of claimProactively manage accountability of adjusters to established claims handling protocols/timetables.Coordinate activities with insurer representatives and claims preparation teams, attend adjuster meetingsFollow through for collection and payment of claimsProvide continuous communication to internal Aon account teamPrepare loss runs, claims information for insurance renewals, year-end claim dataProvide services to improve and monitor claims processes and assist in reducing client loss costs by ensuring highest level of service from claims administratorsPrepare claims manuals and procedural guidance to clientsSteer selection process of third party adjusters when warrantedEscalate claims to senior management when warrantedWill travel 15-25% of timeMay have flexibility to work remotelyREQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of 5 years related claims experience adjusting property lines of coverageThe individual in this position must be a proven performer with strong technical knowledge in property insurance and corresponding work experience handling complex quota-share lossesMINIMUM EDUCATIONBachelor’s degreeOur risk consulting team focuses on actuarial and analytics, enterprise risk management, and risk financing solutions.
