Position Summary and Responsibilities
Under close supervision, performs a wide variety of electronic and electro-mechanical subassembly and assembly operations of a semi-skilled nature to build up and assemble simple units such as gauge tubes, power supplies, modules, chassis drawers, cable harnesses, PC boards, electronic systems and subassemblies. Solders and de-solders through-hole and surface mount technology (SMT) components. Installs and/or removes discrete components such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, inductors, etc., on to printed circuit assemblies (PCA\u2019s), panels using both traditional soldering iron and or hot air techniques.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Process assembly production orders to engineering specifications.
Ability to follow a wiring diagram.
Perform task with repetitive motion functions and dexterity to assemble product while utilizing a microscope at a fixed location for extended periods.
Hand soldering, through hole and surface mount components.
Use basic small hand tools and small power tools.
Inspect and test product for release.
Regular and predictable attendance and adherence to schedule.

Education and/or Experience
Requires a high school diploma and some degree of vocational or technical training; 0-2 years of directly related experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
