Job Description and Requirements

We are seeking a talented Facilities Manager for the North American East region, supporting some of our largest field offices in the Americas. This individual will p

rovide leadership and direction to the Facility team in alignment with overall department & company strategies. This individual will have responsibility for or being part of a team in site selection and project delivery in other Americas field offices.

Successful candidate will have experience managing day to day operations of a site and/or region, including MEP, MAC, Offices Services, and data center environments.

This position requires demonstrated project management skills, providing relevant technical support and guidance, overseeing budgets, and managing internal staff and vendors as well as ensuring compliance with operational standards, procedures, best practices, applicable codes and other regulatory requirements. The Facilities Manager resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways, and exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions with limited to no instructions on day-to-day work. Will occasionally receive general instructions on new assignments and projects with an expectation that they determine and develop approach to solutions. Work is independent and collaborative in nature, will guide junior peers with aspects of their role.

General Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Implement strategies for providing a high quality, cost-conscious, consistent level of facility maintenance and operational services

* Improve/implement/maintain programs and projects to maximize the efficiency of facility assets

* Partner with local teams to plan and organize space needs

* Oversee and inspect the work of outside contractors

* Develop effective working relationship with peers, cross functional business units and customers

* Achieve financial objectives by helping prepare operating expense budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions and recommend capital expenditures

* Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation and other related costs

* Inspects construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules

* Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing project, operational, and policies and procedures

* Support real estate activity in Americas; conducts evaluations of commercial real estate markets to determine facility alternatives based on business needs, lease negotiations, and interacts with property owners and property managers to ensure that services delivered by landlord are in line with lease agreements.

* Support acquisition activity as it relates to facility needs

* Support sub-lease activity

* Implement and maintain LEED certifications

* Lead / support on-site volunteer emergency response team, and support Corporate Security as needed

* Provides regular updates to management

* Work with Facilities Team to support other sites in field sites in Americas as needed

* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops

* 24/7 on call status

* Visit East Region offices regularly

* Periodic travel is required for other projects in the Americas

Qualifications and Experience:


BS with 5-7 years of relevant experience


Possess good verbal, written and interpersonal skills, communicating clearly and effectively


Attention to detail and ability to work lead and be a contributing member of a team with a vision for excellence


Demonstrated ability to work independently and create and meet schedules, with a drive for execution


Project management experience in a high-tech corporate environment is preferred


Competency with Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
