Job Description:

What is the role?

The Lease Admin Analyst provides support, and work directly with, Onshore Lease Crude Trading, external crude 0il 0perators and other Operations teams within the Shell Trading & Supply Organization. The main responsibilities are working directly with Lease Traders to ensure all required components of deals (new and deal amendments) are captured and entered in IT systems per Deal Trade Policy. All while ensuring the correctness of master data setups for leases and further life-cycle maintenance therefore of, contract drafting and troubleshooting with internal and external counterparties. This position requires a sound understanding of the lease crude business, standard oil crude lease deals, including contract components, and ability to work in a fast pace environment.

Responsibilities:

Work directly with Crude Onshore Lease Traders, Trade Analysts, Contract Review Analysts, other internal Operations teams and third-party owner/operators to provide real time E2E commercial deal & crude lease support.

Trade deal capture and entry for new and existing lease deals, and associated master data, in the Lease Purchases System (LPS) per Commercial Deal Trade Policy, Legal, and Regulatory requirements.

Draft new contracts, and amendments to existing contracts, in Management of Contracts and Confirmations (MCC) system, for further dispatching to 3rd party contract holders, per team metric targets.

Perform LPS monthly Closing duties which requires overtime work during business workdays 5-10.

Ensure that the oil volume allocations are processed accurately and timely in LPS according to monthly close schedule.

Coordinate and processes out-of-cycle payments for lease royalty interest owners.

Work with Severance Tax team to action business referrals per established SLA.

Work in conjunction with Commercial and Lease Division Order (DO) Teams to execute assignments per established process.

Work with Division Order Team to resolve Lease Royalty Owner/Operator discrepancies that have aged and require further investigation, at times requiring the retrieval and research of historical system data and records.

Work with external Owner/Operator inquiries, often requiring further research and coordinating with other Commercial and Operations teams within metric targets.

Contribute to the Crude bottom line margin through commercial value add opportunities.

Contribute to profit leakage prevention activities through existing processes and develop new process improvements where applicable.

Action and resolve Royalty Owner and Operator Debit Balances per team metric targets.

Ensure that records are maintained in in accordance to GRM standards.

Maintain compliance with all Shell policies, Data Privacy, Manual of Authorities, team and SOX controls.

Ensure that all contracts and master data accurately reflect the agreed commercial terms and are accurately and timely maintained in deal capture systems.

Maintain a complete electronic record incorporating contracts, documents and amendments.

Provide leave coverage for other Lease Admin Analysts.

What we need from you

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-me basis for anyone other than current employer.

Bachelor’s Degree required

Minimum of three (3 ) years of crude Lease Administration experience is a must.

Solid knowledge in and skill interpreting components of lease deals.

Attention to detail, possess a strong work ethic, good interpersonal and written skills, strong team working skills, results focused, self-motivated and thrive in a busy work environment.

Sound understanding of related roles in the organization, including Commercial, Operations, other support functions and will be required to understand the end-to-end Crude business.

Capable of managing a high volume of complex data and be able to generate reports to meet business requirements, arrive at root causes of problems and implement resolutions.

Ability to work autonomously, develop resolutions and implement best practices with minimal supervision.

Enthusiastic to take on additional projects outside of specific role.

Able to work beyond normal business hours during monthly close and at times of increased commercial business.

Following systems knowledge a plus and/or a strong learning aptitude for new systems in business related applications and tools:

Lease Purchase System (LPS), Manage Contracts & Confirmations (MCC), Endur, Qlikview, Salesforces is nice to have.

Technical capabilities will be considered.
