Surety Legal Claims Handler
Duties: Handle a diverse caseload of construction/contract surety claims. Manage a caseload of moderate to high complexity Surety claims from start through settlement and resolution, and within specific authority limits. ensure that claims are handled in the most efficient and effective manner to deliver on claims best practices and customer led commitment. have an opportunity to develop strong partnerships that include extensive communications and interactions with principals, brokers and other internal business unit contacts. Analyzing coverage, liability and damages. Participating in mediations and negotiating settlements. Drafting coverage and denial letters, underwriter notification of claim issues, etc. Drafting case summary reports in connection with significant reserve increases and trial preparation. Directing activities of defense counsel.
