Paralegal II
The candidate will be responsible for: Assist attorneys with organizing, managing and maintaining a variety of matters. Communicate regularly with the team to inform them of the status of matters and projects. Perform legal research and data compilation. Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication. Prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes. Prepare accurate and complete work products. Assist with internal and external communications related to legal matters. Provide support/assist with attorney scheduling and or travel arrangements. Provide support with invoicing review and approval, accrual, expense tracking, internal reporting, and other legal related spend reporting. Assist with distribution of incoming communications. Support the management of domestic and international intellectual property registrations including correspondence with clients and foreign counsel or agents regarding prosecution and maintenance of trademark application and registration. Support registration and management of URL portfolio. Perform on-line trademark searches and filings. Assist with performing investigations for potential trademark and patent infringements. Provide support in contracts administration. Convey routine information to client representatives regarding legal and/or contractual issues associated with existing or proposed operational situations. Coordinate the gathering of information from various departments in the preparation of contracts, other legal documents, and in formulating company’s legal position. Review certain contracts and other legal documents to ensure necessary provisions are included. Assist in crafting and implementing litigation legal holds. Organize materials and responses to due diligence requests. Compile, review, and organize information, materials, documents, reports and evidence. Summarize depositions and other legal documents. Prepare reports, correspondence and memoranda and other documents. Conduct routine and specific legal and factual information research and data compilation. Draft letters related to store operations. Projects and other matters as assigned. May provide routine paralegal assistance to outside counsel and/or other administrative agencies involved in Company litigation, administrative, and/or compliance matters. Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest developments in law and in other related areas. Knowledge of current and developing legal issues and trends in area of expertise. Using attorney resource guides, select outside counsel as required under the general guidance of an attorney in the Legal Department. Assist with other projects and duties as may be assigned.
