Job Description

This position is responsible for assisting with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Pedigree complex by performing the following duties: maintains production database FPS and other production reports; creates and manages purchase orders; manages safety training and documentation; manages receiving and inventories of supplies; performs routine office functions such as filing and phone activities; other duties as assigned. Observes and maintains all biosecurity and animal welfare procedures and policies.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 3 plus years related experience.

Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have ability to learn new computer programs.

Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills.

Specialized Skills: Work activities are variable and require judgment to complete tasks such as setting priorities evaluating results and coordinating with others.

Biosecurity Requirements: The jobsite is a biosecurity environment which requires showering before entering the facility and could require multiple showers during the workday. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species chickens ducks birds . The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times. Must be willing to follow the guidelines in the Pedigree Biosecurity Standards.

Physical Requirements: Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly required to stand walk sit use hands to touch handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms balance stoop talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to focus.

Physical Environment: Required to work on wet slippery surfaces and also in hot dry dusty wet and cold environments. Personal Protective Equipment Required: Safety goggles and ear plugs will be used as needed. Chemicals Commonly Used: Formaldehyde is in use at the facility disinfectant lubricant and 904.
