Strickland Christian School is a private school for prekindergarten to eighth grade with sixty years of experience in education. We offer a joyful, rewarding, and professional environment. Our goal is to fully equip students to love and serve God and their fellow man all their lives.

We have developed our own phonics and math program for our primary students. Kindergartners read well and take dictation in cursive writing. First graders read from the King James Bible and add and subtract with borrowing and carrying. Second graders do long multiplication and long division and diagram complicated sentences. Upper grades students are advanced in grammar, composition, reading, and mathematics.

Strickland Christian School is seeking fulltime elementary teachers for the 2022-2023 school year. This is an opportunity for qualified teachers to join the ministry of one of the best Christian schools in all of Texas! Strickland emphasizes Christian character, phonics, reading, writing, mathematics, and memorization. Kindergartners read and take dictation in cursive writing. First graders can read from the King James Bible by the end of the year and name the parts of speech of words in difficult sentences. They also add and subtract with borrowing and carrying.

Qualifications for applicants are as follows:

· Believer in Jesus who knows Him personally and follows Him daily.

· High moral character.

· Called by God to teach.

· Loves children.

· High school diploma for kindergarten position, college degree for all others. Teaching degree not necessary.

· Good at teaching math and language.

· Good at cursive writing.

· Well-organized.

· Good classroom manager.

Pay: $22,500.00 - $28,500.00 per year
