Humana is currently seeking an Account Specialist.

The Accounting Specialist performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and capital expenditure schedules. The Accounting Specialist performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment

Responsibilities

What you can expect as an Accounting Specialist at Humana:

Prepares, records, analyzes, and reports accounting transactions

Ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles

Provides financial support, including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget

Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements, and reports

Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects.

Required Qualifications:

must live within 50 miles of Louisville, KY

1 years of experience in accounting/finance

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Preferred Requirements

Work experience in the healthcare and/or insurance industries

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI.

Experience with Oracle, Oracle AP, or Oracle General Ledger
