Clinical Placement Coordinator
The candidate will assist the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs in meeting clinical placement needs of the Academic Programs. Will serves as a liason between School of Nursing faculty, students, and preceptors to facilitate clinical learning. Responsible for obtaining, coordinating student placements for graduate and/or undergraduate course practical. Coordination includes contacting preceptors, matching student clinical placement requests with preceptors, sending confirmation letters to preceptors, managing the preceptor and student clinical databases, notifying students of their placements and other related duties as relevant, occasional collaborative meetings at the School of Nursing. Position requires occasional travel within the State to various clinical sites. Facilitates strong relationship between the School of Nursing, Preceptors, and clinical agencies. Prepares and processes clinical affiliation agreements and prepares paperwork for Affiliate Faculty appointments. Must be detail-oriented and highly organized with excellent communication skills. Must have excellent customer service skills, ability to engage in effective problem solving, function independently and demonstrate initiative and work as an effective team.member. Must have the ability to work in a diverse environment. Proficiency with technology and software such as Word and Excel is required. Should preferably have Master’s degree and/or paralegal training with several years of experience; successful work history demonstrating either effective project management or management of multiple tasks. Proficiency with Google docs preferred; experience with REDCap and the Typhon system is a plus.
