MINIMUM AGE

HOURS/PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT

Seasonal position; Mystic Creek is a

7-day operation during peak golf season. Golf season runs from approximately March through October. Schedule will vary but will include frequent weekends and holidays

and average 40-45 hours per week. Extended time off is extremely limited.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

This is a working

assistant to the Superintendent position. The employee should have small/large engine knowledge and repair ability. This position will include a variety of duties such as managing crew members, refuse pick-up, lawn cutting, landscaping, painting, and other related tasks. Work is usually performed under some supervision; however, much independent judgment and initiative is necessary to carry out and complete duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

Ability to move heavy objects. Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions. Ability to carry out and complete assigned tasks without continued supervision. Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. Ability to keep detailed records and make reports. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with other employees and the general public. Knowledge of methods and materials used on a golf course. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING/LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in TurfGrass Management preferred. Two years golf course and crew leadership experience is preferred.

Knowledge of 2-cycle, 4-cycle, and diesel engine and repair ability is preferred.

Having a Chemical Applicator License is preferred

EXAMINATION PROCEDURE

Qualified applicants will be scheduled for an interview.

NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

A valid
