Senior Specialist Contracts
Duties: Leading proposal preparations and submittals, negotiations, and subsequent execution of contracts and modifications. Lead cross-functional teams to assess solicitations, including clauses, and recommended terms & conditions. Advise the organization on any challenges to compliance, or risks to negotiation of favorable terms, billing arrangements, contract type or fee. Coordination of required approvals and notifications pursuant to procedures and standard practices. Follow-up and tracking customer correspondence and issues as well as interface with internal and external customers to ensure prompt resolution of problems and effective day-to-day communications. Responsible for creating and preparing briefing packages and presenting to senior leadership. Administer unique contract actions such as Offset agreements or Direct Commercial Sale contracts. Provide oversight and mentoring to junior staff on various topics as needed. Participate, oversee and advise in the preparation of quotations, bids and proposals, requests for estimates (RFEs), drafting and releasing Sales Orders, and all other required contract administration documentation. Primary department lead in developing and managing inputs required for weekly and monthly reports as well as annual Operating Plan inputs. Delegate as department manager in the Manager’s absence.
