EXECUTIVE ADVISOR AND DIRECTOR STRATEGY EXECUTION','EXE0015I','!*! The Executive Advisor and Director of Strategy Execution (“Executive”) is responsible for driving the executive’s strategic initiatives forward, including communicating and managing deliverables across the business. This includes orchestrating and driving the successful implementation of UNC Health’s Unified Strategy. The Executive provides leadership, coordination and management of processes and operations to enable the system to effectively execute aligned transformation strategies, creating a culture of high performance. The Executive will direct, monitor and contribute to strategic projects and program management for the executive’s office. This position requires balancing and influencing multiple competing priorities and individuals and is responsible for the central coordination of all strategic and operational activities. The employee will provide leadership and direction for change management initiatives, budget and financial planning, project management, and program development on behalf of the executive. Additionally, this position has oversight for all ongoing projects supporting the executive’s agenda to ensure that the established milestones and measurement criteria are being met. Description of Job Responsibilities: 1. Advising- Act as an advisor and be a sounding board to the executive. Central point of contact and owner of content for all executive’s leadership meetings. Responsibilities to include: Plan, organize, develop agenda, and facilitate EVP driven meetings. Capture major take aways, maintain milestones and track, assign and maintain clear action items and exception reporting. Work with leadership team to ensure follow-up on deliverables and escalate key issues that are stalled. Assist with operational management decisions and actions as directed. 2. Communication- Manage executive’s communications, including key announcements. Oversee presentations, including communications, prep and set expectations to presenters and attendees. Develop and deliver customer facing content for executive presentations. 3. Analysis- Analyze data and organizational metrics to provide insight and recommendations to improve the organization’s accountability and efficiency. 4. Portfolio Management -- Oversees portfolio of programs and projects and ensures that initiatives maintain alignment with the evolving system strategy. Develops and maintains project management methodologies, standards and tools in order to achieve strategic goals. Develops and manages framework for issue resolution, risk mitigation and portfolio dashboard reporting in order to provide a unified view of progress and assist leadership in collectively analyzing and managing current and proposed initiatives. Assesses resource allocation, budget spend and return on investment of strategic initiatives. Generates critical path analyses and supports scenario planning in order to inform decision making. Leverages data and analytics to create a metrics-based approach to initiative performance management to drive accountability. 5. Program and Project Management – Supports business partners by providing program and project management support to advance select initiatives focused on cross-cutting and complex efforts that impact the organization as a system, as well as major initiatives at the entity or regional level. Organizes and manages personnel and teams to achieve quality, cost and performance objectives, while maintaining the scope of the projects. Responsible for directly managing staff in order to ensure that programs and projects are executed effectively and efficiently. Provides leadership for key transformation initiatives until they can be transitioned to permanent operational “homes”.','!*!Education:Master's degree in relevant or Doctorate degree.
