Core Tax Services Manager
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics. Master's in accountancy or Taxation is preferred. Should have 5+ years of prior relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting/professional services experience. Industry expertise in one or more tax specialty is preferred. Prior supervisory experience is required. CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) (or the equivalent of one of these designations) required. Should be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with tax research databases and tax compliance process software is preferred. Superior verbal and written communication skills are needed. Should have the ability to effectively delegate work. Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills as well as decision-making skills are needed. Should have capacity to work well in a team environment. Should be capable of developing and managing a team of tax professionals. Should have the ability to compose written tax advice. Should be capable of effectively developing and maintaining client relationships. Executive presence and ability to act as primary client contact for preparation and presentation of issues and resolutions to clients are needed.
