Primary FunctionThis role is responsible for promoting and generating sales of solar products from an inside sales environment. Secondary job function is to efficiently process multiple orders while continuing to provide superior customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and build relationships with key solar contractors/solar integrators interested in purchasing solar products from AlliedProvide a high level of support through a consultative sales approach to prospective customersProactively communicate (by phone, email, face-to-face contact) with potential prospectsCoordinate all stages of the sales processWork closely with General Manager and solar sales team.Receive and process requests directly from customers (via telephone, fax and mail) for price quotations, product availability, customer orders, material returns, billing corrections, product information, order changes and cancellations Quickly and smoothly resolve customer complaints and problemsEngage in specialty purchasing (when applicable)Coordinate delivery and/or pick up of customer orders with operations teamsGenerate price quotations in a timely mannerResponsible for adhering to policies of the customer financial servicesMaintain adequate supply of product samples and literatureWork with Replenishers to achieve the best product lineMaintain strong relationships with customers during and after purchases to facilitate return businessBuild a working technical knowledge of all available Allied Solar PV productsUnderstand and follow company safety rules to foster and maintain a safe work environmentPerform other duties as assignedProfessional SkillsTrack record of internships or early job experienceAbility to multi-task Customer service experience Communication, organizational, and presentation skillsAnalytical and problem solving abilityPossess integrity, a drive to succeed and a commitment to excellenceProject management skillsMust be able to learn and retain vast amounts of product informationMust understand the nuances of customer relations Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once while maintaining control and perspective of eachExperienceExperience with solar products/industry a plusExperience in a team-based environment Experience in a position that deals directly with customers (front-line)
