International Tax Experienced Associate

The candidate should preferably have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Juris Doctorate degree, LLM, and/or MST/MBT is preferred. Should have 1+ years of prior experience in professional services or equivalent experience gained through an advanced degree program. Experience in international tax is preferred. CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) (or the equivalent of one of these designations), is preferred. Should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience utilizing RIA, BNA, Lexis Nexis and/or Westlaw, is preferred. Strong verbal and written communications skills are needed. Strong analytical and basic legal and tax research skills are essential. Solid organizational skills, especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details are required. Should have the ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a team environment. Basic understanding of the technical and practical issues and opportunities regarding one or more areas of taxation and law is needed. Basic knowledge and understanding of general calculations and cause / effect for taxable conditions on clients and the potential tax issues are essential.
