Manager/Director - Non-Profit/Exempt Tax

The candidate will serve clients in a high impact manner, demonstrating command of a major area of specialization. Consult and communicate with clients on tax-exempt reporting. Consult and communicate with tax-exempt clients regarding topics such as unrelated business income, public support test concerns, the creation and termination of entities, excess benefit transactions, etc.. Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax-exempt engagements. Sign Forms 990, 990PF, 990T and other tax-exempt forms. Monitor State and Federal events affecting tax-exempt entities and communicate to clients and coworkers. Collaborate and coordinate with team members providing other services to ensure seamless delivery of all services to clients. Develop and train team members to help them build inspired careers. Provide technical guidance to tax team members or other industry members. Provide training regarding various topics to tax team members or other industry members. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. Should preferably have an active CPA certification, JD or Enrolled Agent certification (Director only). Should preferably have 6+ years of experience. Consultative tax experience in serving exempt tax clients, preparation of technical memo and opinion letters is preferred. Experience with tax filings including Forms 990, 990PF, 990T, applicable state filings and required foreign filings is preferred. Specialization in Higher Ed, Health Care and Nonprofit Exempt Tax Areas is a plus.
