The candidate should have experience significant responsibility; direct client contact and significant advancement potential in an expanding area of the firm. Draft estate planning documents (wills, various trust agreements, powers of attorney, advance medical directives, deeds). Prepare probate filings (petitions for probate, inventories, accounts, and petitions for assorted relief). Perform complex tax research projects regarding income tax and estate and gift tax. Prepare, review, and negotiate premarital agreements. Assist and advise General Litigation practice in contested trusts and estates matters. Should have Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Should have admission to DC bar or waiver eligibility. Admission(s) to MD and/or VA preferred; strong analytical skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task a diverse caseload and meet deadlines. Self-starter who takes ownership of executing tasks.
