General SummaryThis position is responsible for working with, and supporting, Legal Department personnel to provide timely legal services to the Company. Essential Job Accountabilities1. Assist with performing contract reviews and negotiations, real estate transactional closings, preparation of board resolutions and legal research and memoranda and litigation support. 2. Preparation of transaction and case summaries and compilation of quarterly litigation reports.3. Obtain due diligence materials such as corporate certificates of good standing, real estate and title information, and securities filings to ensure compliance with company policies as well as local, state and federal regulations.4. Organize and track files of important transaction or case documents including subpoenas, pleadings and discovery documents to ensure they remain organized and current.5. Receive agent service of process on behalf of the company and distribute and manage responses companywide to ensure effective utilization of the company’s systems and controls.6. Input all litigation and arbitration matters into legal database to ensure records are organized and database is up to date. 7. Maintain subsidiaries and fictitious names to ensure the Company runs efficiently.8. Work with inside and outside counsel to prepare quarterly litigation status reports, consolidate and prepare quarterly litigation report and produce report for operations purposes.9. Provide legal reporting on pre-qualification bidding questionnaires to ensure records are organized, current and accurate when representing such information to potential clients.10. Report to surety companies regarding status of insurance bond claims on company projects to ensure effective utilization of the company’s systems and processes.#LI-KV1','!*!Education • Bachelor's degree and/or a paralegal education preferred.Minimum Work Experience• Intermediate knowledge in the areas of contracts and litigation.• 5 years experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.• Experience in implementing new products, services, and procedures.• Knowledge of construction concepts, practices, and procedures is a plus.Knowledge, skills, and abilities• Advanced analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills• Strong project management skills• Attention to detail and accuracy• Advanced computer and technical knowledge.• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines• Ability to work independently• Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication skills• Ability to break down problems into meaningful part and come to rational and well-though out conclusions• Interest in process improvement• Willingness to adapt quickly to quick changes in direction• Internally motivated to see out answers, generate ideas, and develop new skills• Ability to work well with all levels of staff as well as external customers Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
