What We’re Looking For:
Under general supervision, the Workplace Specialist at 2U will assist the Workplace Manager with monitoring the day to day operations of the facilities. This position requires effective decision making, multitasking, operative communication with management and staff and the ability to work in a high pace environment. This position performs facilities operational duties such as assisting in events, space, and vendor management.
The Workplace Specialist supports the Workplace Manager across various projects to ensure proper execution.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for non-remote incumbents who accept this job.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Maintenance Support
Schedules maintenance or requests services from building vendors (Furniture, HVAC, electricians, etc.) and
verifies completion of maintenance and repair services to satisfaction
Ensure employee satisfaction with delivery of facility management services and provide a lead role in monitoring and increasing customer satisfaction
Project Management
Support the Workplace Manager in the implementation of short and long-term projects for the client
Assist in the development and implementation of strategic tactical plans
Operation Support
Maximize utilization of supplies and inventory, preferred vendors/contractors
Source local services and goods needed to perform day to day operations through 3rd party suppliers. This includes writing contract, obtaining necessary
vendor set up forms and reviewing certificate of insurance for compliance
Support Workplace Manager in reviewing and overseeing daily operations to completion
Supports the Workplace manager with the management of the location’s Emergency Response Plan
Serves as the point of contact for the Workplace team and the Executive Support team
Space Planning
Works with Workplace Manager to oversee space planning
operations
Event Management Support
Oversees the location’s operation of internal and external events to successful completion
Other duties as assigned
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
3-5 years of customer service experience
Experience in an office environment required
Facilities operations and maintenance knowledge required
