The Exclusive Brands Operations Lead
role owns all operational aspects of Exclusive Brands S&OP (sales & operations planning) for North America. This encompasses component level production planning thru to finished goods transition management for a build-to-order manufacturing business. Key skills needed to be successful in this position are leadership, attention to detail, problem solving, coaching, analytical mindset, ability to influence across multiple levels within the enterprise and effective communication all while embracing cultural differences.
This position engaged on a daily basis with ExB Global Product Managers, Demand Planning & Forecasting, Supply Chain Operations (based in Asia), Global Trade Services (which includes Customs Compliance & International Transportation), Logistics & Domestic Transportation, Merchants, Enterprise Finance and Controllership.
Global Operations & Supply Chain Management
Manage high SKU count categories with variable transition timing (average SKU count of 250-450 per Lead)
Analyze receipt forecast to sales plan and drive adjustments in partnership with cross-functional team has needed
Own sales order management within SAP (Global ERP system for Exclusive Brands)
PO management across multiple system platforms (SAP, Retek, CPFR)
Lead Operations aspects of planning and strategy meetings (PSI’s, Version Meetings, CFT Sessions, SKU Productivity Sessions, Line Reviews, etc.)
Proactively engage cross-functional teams to develop strategies to address any overstock, end-of-life and product transition risks
Responsible for resolving operational issues with global teams (production schedule impacts, component shortages, PO delays, booking exceptions, cost changes impacts, tariff mitigation, etc.)
Responsible for ExB metrics focused on inventory health and productivity (FWOS, CA, At—Risk $$’s, etc.)
Communication & Training
Communicate decisively and effectively across multiple functional areas located primarily in North America and Asia; various formats of communication including conference calls, in-person meetings, potential international travel required
Train, coach and educate cross-functional partners on operational aspects of build to order omni-channel manufacturing business; teams of focus are Product Management, Demand Planning & Forecasting, Supply Chain Operations based in Asia and new team members
Identify and develop on-going any new training and coaching opportunities for cross-functional teams on how to most effectively manage ExB products (ExB 101 & 201 series, Peak Period Planning Course, etc.)
Capability Development
Determine most effective fulfillment method: domestic program, direct import via ocean, air to DC, DTS, node skipping (decon bypass) while taking into account strategic goals and cost analysis
Provide guidance and initiate as deemed needed, safety stock programs (component and / or finished goods level) and help to facilitate and honor the contractual obligations of such programs
Lead the definition and evolution of Global SOPs as it pertains to channel operations and product fulfillment
Basic Skills
4 Years - Global Supply Chain, Inventory, Demand Planning, or Merchant experience
3 Years - Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, PowerPoint
1 Year – Retek and / or SAP ERP experience
