The Technical Ad Operations Specialist is an important part of the ad operations process. This position works with each of our sites to implement and develop new ad products. This position also works with 3
rd
party media vendors and our ad server to ensure an optimal setup for both direct campaigns and mediation. Experience in technical troubleshooting, knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem, and an ability to work cross-functionally are all requirements of the job.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with site teams to implement new 3
rd
party technologies and/or new ad products
Act as a lead technical liaison between site teams, revenue team, and third party vendors on projects
Work with internal QA teams to develop, modify, and test new technologies and products
Manage all aspects of technical implementations
Troubleshoot existing ad placements along with 3
rd
party vendors as needed
Provide technical support on custom programs and executions as needed
Identify and develop new opportunities for improving existing platforms, tools, and processes
Traffic and optimize direct and network partner integrations within the ad server
Requirements:
2 years industry experience in technical ad operations support role working with display, video, and mobile ad serving platforms
Intermediate knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, internet file formats (Flash, HTML5), and web coding concepts
Must be detail-oriented, have excellent organization skills to communicate across different business groups, and an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
Strong technical grasp of ad serving technologies (ad servers, redirects, etc) required
Experience with both DFP and DSM required
Experience troubleshooting ad issues required
Bachelor’s degree required, and web development skills a plus
