The candidate will be responsible for: Identify and document a target ecosystem of market collaborators that will accelerate achievement of the company’s strategic vision, improve its competitive differentiation, and create shareholder value. Develop an understanding of the company’s business, competitive landscape and market position. Perform industry analysis, market segmentation, and identify/track competitor performance. Provide the ELT with updates on key market and competitive developments, such as regulatory developments, M&A activity, industry trends, etc. Characterize the optimal form of market collaboration (e.g., strategic partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, licensing agreements, alternative distribution channels, and other strategies to enhance the company’s market ecosystem) within the target ecosystem. Prioritize, develop, and capture the target ecosystem by negotiating formal agreements (e.g., business case, market entry or expansion strategies, and revenue model) with the respective collaborator(s). Manage multiple projects, respond to ad-hoc requests on competitive and strategic issues and effectively communicate with all levels of management. Maintain tight alignment and work closely with functional management teams, acting as a project manager on strategic or cross-functional projects, and bringing timely and useful insight, perspective and analytical support and resources. Support the company’s merger and acquisition activities including among other things the identification and development of potential acquisition targets. Expand and enhance the Smart Mobility Infrastructure Management strategy to include identification of additional data sources, third-party software integrations, and alternate markets to drive short term revenue growth. Must have proven track record of influencing others at all levels of across an organization to drive results. Should have excellent analytical skills with a strong ability to synthesize data into actionable recommendations. Must have 10+ years of business development and / or corporate development experience which may include exposure to venture capital, investment banking, corporate law, corporate finance and/or strategy consulting. Solid understanding of financial statement analysis, financial modeling and strategic assessments required. Should, at minimum, possess a bachelor’s degree. An advanced degree such as an MBA, JD or MS in a technical discipline is highly desirable.
