Director - Estate Planning Attorney

The candidate will run multiple existing legal estate planning engagements. Will handle new legal estate planning engagements. Effectively lead Client Service Teams as Strategic Planning representative and be ultimately responsible for all Client Service Team efforts and initiatives. Work with Family Office Teams for clients as strategic planning (estate planning, philanthropy, and life insurance) lead representative. Prepare/update and be responsible for executing the annual client service plan. Manage all aspects of client Strategic Planning engagements independently – meeting preparation, delivery and follow-up. Manage billing arrangements and engagements profitability. Anticipate client problems, develop proactive solutions, and initiate client contact. Supervise associate attorneys and assistants in Strategic Planning Group. Provide high-level review and final approval of meeting material and key client deliverables for Strategic Planning work and other disciplines. Review others’ work and give timely feedback. Extensively delegate meeting preparation work to Managers and Associates. Be responsible for initiating appropriate client relationship events. Actively participate in team meetings and internal committees. Participate in the development of topics and draft articles for publication. Assist business development group in cultivating influencers, meeting with prospective clients and attending marketing events. Assist with maintaining and increasing the firm’s high industry profile by responding to media inquiries and actively participating in the profession in ways approved by the team to raise the firm’s public profile.
