Job Overview: The Construction Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of construction-related legal matters, including construction defect and delay claims, design negligence, breach of contract claims, and payment disputes. The candidate must have a strong foundation in general litigation and a specific focus on construction law.

Duties:

• Represent clients in construction litigation cases, from inception through resolution, including pre-trial and trial proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to provide sound legal advice to clients.
• Draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, and briefs related to construction litigation.
• Collaborate with clients to develop case strategies and provide regular updates on case progress.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations as necessary.
• Work closely with senior attorneys and partners to support complex construction litigation cases.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in general litigation, with a minimum of two years of specific experience in construction litigation.
• Strong academic credentials with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Ohio State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.
• Excellent writing and research skills, with the ability to prepare persuasive legal documents.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong client relationships and collaborate with colleagues.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
