Claims Adjuster Lead, Litigation - Specialty

Duties: Review lawsuits and claim files and provide recommendations for the handling of new lawsuits. Have the technical knowledge of estimating and repair methods and the ability to review and compare estimates for overlap, pricing, understand industry standards and repair options and assess the potential effect on jury views and trial outcomes. Recognize the potential deficiencies in a case and the need for a negotiated settlement as a potential resolution. Assist management with the creation of strategic initiatives and the implementation of litigation strategies. Participate in workload surges and/or catastrophic responses as needed, including mandated overtime during specified catastrophic events. Assist other business units as needed. Coach, counsel, or train less experienced staff, may also direct the work of others, may provide input in the performance management, goal setting, and review processes.
