Commercial Counsel, Business Legal Affairs
The candidate will provide legal oversight and direction for all Western Union business units and shared services in North America. You will lead contract negotiations for commercial, financial and operational matters. You will be working with digital payment systems and lead a portfolio of complex, often specialized, legal issues. You will partner with leaders in the commercial and product organizations and provide strategic legal and regulatory guidance as Western Union develops, implements and updates its product offering. Must have a degree from an ABA-accredited school of law, be admitted to at least one U.S. state bar, and have a minimum of 7 years’ experience, post Juris Doctorate. That experience should include working in a law firm or corporate environment, ideally including experience in financial services. You should be a confident self-starter, with exceptional writing skills, attention to detail and the ability to provide timely, concise and business-focused legal advice.
