Job Description:              

Well established law firm in northwestern suburb of Milwaukee seeking full-time billing coordinator to play an integral role in delivering high quality service to our clients.  Working under the direction of the attorneys and the Office Manager, this individual must be able to handle a variety of detail-oriented tasks while working collaboratively and cooperatively with others in a team-oriented environment. 


  • Maintain and enter time charges into billing system.
  • Enter client expenses into billing system.
  • Review and edit pre-bills in response to attorneys’ requests and ensure accuracy of information in them.
  • Provide clients with copies of their invoices via mail and/or e-mail.
  • Accurately prepare high volume of bills per month in a timely manner.
  • Effectively interact and communicate with attorneys, secretaries and clients.
  • Research and respond to inquiries regarding billing issues and problems.
  • Create billing schedules and various other billing analyses as required.
  • Initiate conflict checks.
  • Perform general office duties, including copying, scanning and faxing various documents.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Maintain client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of hands-on billing experience in a law firm, preferably with Time Matters software.
  • e-Billing experience not required, but a plus.
  • Excellent math ability.
  • Exceptional keyboarding skills required and competency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong written language skills, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form, and style.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to be proactive, initiate and organize/prioritize work, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
