Job Summary
Looking for a leader who wants to make an impact and change the way **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. finance uses data and analytics. In this job, you will lead the team building a first-of-its-kind end-to-end analytical system in finance revenue - by collaborating closely with partners and senior leaders to understand business needs, overseeing and contributing to the development of new data marts in SQL, visualizing the data and telling the story in Tableau, automating complex forecasts and processes in Python, and leading and developing a strong and diverse team.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Develops business requirements, assesses current reporting capabilities and makes recommendations for improvement.
Creates actionable insight and understanding, through the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, building recommendations that directly address business objectives.
Identifies possible conflicts with the strategy and recommends cost-effective alternatives.
Conducts full analyses of changes impacting customers and operations and ensures impacts are accurately integrated into forecasts.
Carries out post-event analyses to validate forecast assumptions and identifies all additional factors associated with changes.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Additional responsibilities:
Strong SQL and/or Python required.
Ability to deploy statistical models preferred.
Ability to manage data across multiple systems required.
Chart a path with leadership and colleagues to build out analytics for the revenue team and budget.
Work with business partners to identify opportunities to automate data/reporting processes and enhance analytical insights in order to drive change in technical processes and business strategy.
Collect and aggregate data across multiple systems to create comprehensive data marts that include actuals, budget, and forecast for revenue budget process.
Translate financial KPIs into automated driver-based analytical KPIs and visualizations, in order to understand results to forecast and provide sound recommendations to the business.
Provide business insights via ad hoc analyses for all aspects of the revenue budget.
Identify opportunities for further automation and statistical analysis; educate team on how to develop and deploy statistical models.
Lead and develop an analyst team. Coach and develop technical/analytical skills in others.
