Job Summary
We seek an experienced, passionate, and highly motivated Solutions Engineer to bring our technology to life each day, establishing and exemplifying best practices in product activation, acting as the key technical expert in the execution of FreeWheel's, and our clients', most strategically important implementations, and illuminating client usage in support of improving FreeWheel's offerings. This particular role is focused on clients who use our MRM technology to operate a marketplace-based business and includes support for both external clients and our own internal teams spanning Operations, Sales, and Product. Because of the broad purview, this team must communicate with customers across all professional levels and partners frequently, finding clever solutions to complex problems leaning into a highly consultative approach. Expanding FreeWheel's capabilities for markets-based use cases is an area of heavy investment for FreeWheel, and thus there is a great need for quick-thinking and creativity in a rapidly changing environment. As the hub of configuration design and product usage, this position is also tasked with developing and sharing best practices across FreeWheel and providing support to Client Services, standardizing proven solutions for the improvement of team performance, and acting as a leader and trusted expert both internally and externally.
Job Description
FreeWheel's client services philosophy is based on establishing long-standing client relationships formulated foremost on trust. As such, other key elements and duties of a successful Solutions Engineer include:
Develop and document business and technical solutions for client project execution
Ensure the technical execution of FreeWheel's most demanding client initiatives
Address major escalations and client-wide difficulties, assist in complex implementations, and clarify appropriate resolution paths for new or unclear use cases
Act as primary liaison between Client Team and product development teams for matters related to the SE clients, providing guidance and feedback on product usage and gaps or needs
Provide advice to Marketing, Product Marketing and Revenue Development on 'story', materials, and product features
Provide primary technical expertise in FreeWheel's most highly strategic pre-sales efforts
Participate in pre-sales efforts in which a prospect's needs may exceed the generalized expertise of dedicated Sales Engineers
Provide training to our internal teams, and occasionally to our clients
Align with Client Solutions management team to identify recurring needs within the team
About you:
BA/BS degree required
5 years experience in the online advertising/internet marketing or video/television technology in a client-facing capacity
Deep product knowledge of a specific FreeWheel product area, at a technical, functional and strategic level
Strong conceptual and strategic understanding of ORTB and programmatic in general with an eye towards use of header bidding technologies
2 years experience working with FreeWheel or relevant experience with leading SSP or DSPs
Strong technical skills and consultative skills
Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability explain product functionality, technical design and limitations at the client's executive level as well as to developers or other client experts
Demonstrate a track record of exemplary software implementation and systems integration skills
Proven ability to drive large-scale projects with open collaboration, strong leadership and careful attention to customer requirements
Demonstrate an understanding of the value of the FreeWheel product suite and the ability to work in conjunction with the Project Management, Support Engineering and Account Management groups to devise strategies for Enterprise level solutions

Experience in or proven aptitude for development of standardized best practices and processes
Ability to evaluate customer requirements and lead in the determination of internal priorities
