Description
The Digital Engineering and Enablement team is seeking a Senior Application Architect who is self-motivated, curious, and loves the challenge of solving problems using technology to provide better customer experiences. Responsibilities
The Senior Application Architect designs and develops IT application architecture solutions to business problems, in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. The Senior Application Architect work assignments involve moderately-complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. You'll collaborate with the product management team, software engineers, application/solution architects, and members of the leadership team, with the goal being to implement and continuously deliver new features and products to our customers.
Responsibilities
Performs technical planning, architecture development, and modification of specifications.
Develops specifications for new products/services, applications, and service offerings.
Assesses the compatibility and integration of new features into existing system.
Creates High level architecture of new features to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent applications.
Performs code reviews, design sessions, and team meetings to manage development and architectural work within programs.
Makes decisions on moderately-complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.
Works closely with scrum teams to build and deliver new functionality or applications.
Required Qualifications
5 or more years of experience, working with technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, .NET/Java/PHP, Angular, React, or Vue.js , Typescript, NPM/Node.js (Advanced), SASS, W3C Web Standards, Accessibility.
Hands on experience in architecting and designing high availability microservices/Rest APIs using different patterns/frameworks.
Experience in designing on prem, hybrid solutions, cloud agnostic, and cloud native services.
Experience with Azure DevOps, GIT, CI/CD, TDD, and Automated Build Processes
Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban/SaFe)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others and can navigate complex organization structures and processes.
Ability to provide technical guidance to the technical team.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Great collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Azure Cloud Certification and/or experience
Experience in Docker and Kubernetes
Healthcare experience
Work-At-Home Requirements
All Humana associates approved for the Home or Hybrid Home/Office work styles are required to self-provide wireless, wired cable or DSL access to the internet at the connectivity speeds required by the company to successfully perform their job with the exception of associates who live or work from home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota. Connectivity requirements are detailed below.

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:
At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended to support Humana applications, per associate.
Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL connection is suggested.
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if they provide an optimal connection for associates. The use of these methods must be approved by leadership.
Humana will not pay for or reimburse Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates for any portion of the cost of their self-provided internet service, with the exception of associates who live or work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota. Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
