The Coding Educator 2 identifies opportunities to improve provider documentation and creates an education plan tailored to each assigned provider. The Coding Educator 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities
The Coding Educator 2 reviews medical records and arranges educational sessions with providers aimed at quality of care and documentation improvements. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Virtual and in office 75% educating providers and office staff, 25% work at home (currently all virtual at this time)
Collaborates with other departments such as Stars, Quality and Provider Engagement
Evaluates the office processes to provide solutions
Required Qualifications
AAPC or AHIMA Coding Certification
1 year Medical record review knowledge
WebEx use and other training tools
Comprehensive knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Problem solve complex issues
Guide business and leadership in process improvement
Valid driver's license; ability to travel onsite to provider offices (Texas) once travel restrictions are lifted due to Covid
Currently position is work at home. Must have high speed internet. A minimum connection speed for optimal performance of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) internet speed is required
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
CPCI Certification

This will transition to a Field position with 75% travel to provider offices with 25% work at home.
