Job Summary

TPX Observability is working to implement a long-term logging, metrics, and tracing solution that meets the technical and financial needs of the company, while improving observability practices across **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.. With this vision, we are deploying number of different open source and proprietary products to address different areas under the observability umbrella. We appreciate that the number of products, platforms, and technologies in the observability space can get confusing. Job Description

Core Responsibilities:


Facilitate the improvement of Observability practices at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***..

Make more efficient, but no less effective choices for Observability tools and strategies.

Decrease **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s Observability operational burden for products and services being used internally or customer-facing.

Improve observability proficiency along with Platform stability and scalability.

Provide data collection standards across all of our services and infrastructure, meeting with teams to help structure data using recommended schemas.

Works with other members of multi-functional teams, third-party vendors, and the Company's Product Managers and Marketing teams to deliver quality products.

This position will require taking part in an on-call rotation

Build, deploy and support a sophisticated platform providing multiple services crafted to collect logs from **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. applications, services or infrastructure and forward some/all to a centralized Kubernetes-based deployment running Elasticsearch, Prometheus, and Tracing applications.

Provide diligent operational support for our Observability products.

Simplify onboarding, management, and automation of Observability tools to reduce our customer's operational complexity.

Define future tooling to not have a large impact on our client base.

Help users of the platform with alerting and dashboards creation or troubleshooting from their logging data.


Qualifications


5-8 years of experience supporting a DevOps environment

Experience with Kubernetes, ability to lead deployments and support for docker containers

System administration for Linux servers, scripting in shell, python. Knowledge of automation tools ( ansible, HELM ), in multi-server environment

Experience in operations with platforms at scale, working in production envionments, and understanding cluster deployments.

Tackle sophisticated problems. Takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions

Clustering technologies for storage systems ( Portworx filesystem management )

Participates in the review of failures and provides feedback to prevent future occurrences.

Have a strong proficiency in network technologies, works with the network and security teams to ensure alignment to security standards.
