Our Chicago Financial Services Group is adding a Broker II to their team. As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Financial Services Group within Aon, in Chicago, IL. The Financial Services Group (FSG) is Aon’s dedicated global management liability insurance specialty practice with expertise in Directors’ & Officers’ Liability (including international), Fiduciary Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Crime and Kidnap & Ransom. This team is comprised of over 300 colleagues worldwide. Job Responsibilities:Acts as the primary negotiator in obtaining the most appropriate carrier coverage from a variety of insurance carriers.Works closely with Team Leaders, Producers, Account Executives and other client facing team members to understand and deliver on client needs.Identifies and analyzes client exposures and determines which markets to utilize, ensuring thorough evaluation of qualified companies in the marketplace.Provides alternative options and/or design risk transfer/financing products for presentation to the client.Assists in the development of other team membersBuilds, expands, and solidifies relationships with existing clients at senior levels within the company. Ensures operational excellence, including adherence to service management requirementsPro-actively develops knowledge of the Aon capabilities in order to identify and develop relevant cross sales opportunities and Aon tools.Enjoys developing new client relationships and building upon existing relationships.Works and collaborates with Aon leadership to achieve goals. Influences and has exposure to Aon leaders in multiple locations.Serves as a source for information concerning market trends, pricing practices and other underwriting policies.May participate in development of department policies and procedures and implements them in assigned area. You Bring Knowledge and ExpertiseRequired Experience:At least 5 - 10 years of broking or underwriter experience with a concentration on Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices, Fiduciary, Crime and Special Risk.Effective working knowledge of carrier underwriting practices & processes.Proven leadership skills in working with teams and ability to work with clients and to successfully exceed client expectations.Proven client facing skills including effective presentations & communications.Proven organization and ability to work with others.Experience in resource deployment and utilization management.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various levels.Successfully operates in a fast-paced driven environment that requires the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Must maintain appropriate broker’s license.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of productsEducation:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experienceHow we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
