Architect will be part of a federated team responsible for developing and
maintaining the data models underpinning the platforms that are being built out
as part of a strategic reengineering effort supporting the Custody and Fund Services
businesses within the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Investment Bank
The Strategic
Reengineering effort is a high profile, mission critical program with many
concurrent streams of work with aggressive timelines. The Senior Information
Architect will work within several streams at the same time and will be
expected to help accelerate development and improve the overall quality of the
deliverable
Superior Information
Architecture and Data Management are essential to a successful business
delivery and are also expected to help reduce operating costs, mitigate risk
and improve the performance profile of the business solution.

Ownership of and collaboration in the production and maintenance of quality
SDLC governed Data Models possessing lineage and implementation traceability
metadata. These Data Models will be comprised of Business Data Entity Models,
Business Event Models, Constituent State Models, utilized Controlled
Vocabularies, Communication Models and Consumer Driven Contracts with
traceability to/from Logical and Physical schemas.

Engaging with Business Operations, Product Management and Technology groups the
IA ensures that business requirements are translated into fit-for-purpose data
requirements and that accurate traceability and lineage is both defined and
documented. The IA will work with Business, Application and Technology
Architects to review (and where necessary contribute to) business drivers,
needs and strategies whilst assessing the implications and impact to the Data
and Information Architecture.

Full conformance with firm-wide, CIB and sub-LOBs Data Policy and Standards
(such as the System of Record and Authoritative Data Sourcing registration and
JPMC Business Data Taxonomy) and Information Architecture tooling and
technology
·
Work to realize continuous improvement on data quality and data usage
(Reference Data, Data Science, Finance, Risk and Regulatory)
·
Extremely strong communication skills to work across different areas of the
company evangelizing the benefits and importance of Information Architecture
and Data Management

8 years of hands-on Object Oriented software development in enterprise-sized
applications utilizing languages such as Java, Python, C ; data formats like
XML and JSON; Database Management Technology Standards, such as SQL, DBMS
Partitioning, Index Creation, Physical Data Models, RDF, SPARQL
·
5 years of hands on Information Architecture in enterprise-sized applications
with a strong working knowledge of Data Modelling and Meta-modelling
(preferably with UML) or the use of alternative Data Modelling tools such as
ERwin, Power Designer and Magic Draw
·
Very strong knowledge of the Financial Services Domain with an emphasis on
Institutional Businesses that include Trading Middle Office, Prime Brokerage,
Custody and Fund Accounting; across Securities and Derivatives Products
·
Knowledge of various Data Architecture options including ODS, Data Lake,
Data Warehousing, OLTP, Data Vault and OLAP
·
Strong knowledge of Data Management technologies including Oracle, Hadoop, Cassandra,
Informatica, Pentaho, SOLR/Lucene
·
Knowledge of core Information Architecture capabilities, including Master and
Reference Data Management, Data Quality (DQ), Metadata Management, Data
Taxonomy, Data Integration, Data Migration and Data Modelling
·
Familiarity with forward
engineering approaches to Information Architecture and Data Management and
Schema-less Messaging i.e. Java serialization / deserialization to/from a range
of data transfer formats e.g. JSON, XML using @Annotations, XMI
·
Ability to collaborate with business teams in order to understand, translate,
review and playback requirements into Logical Data Models, Interface
Specifications, Taxonomies and Controlled Vocabularies
·
Experience working within a lean/agile development framework, continuous
integration, continuous delivery
·
Meta-Object Frameworks (OMG
MOF, Eclipse ECORE)
·
Effective communication and facilitation with Business & Technology
stakeholders to translate requirements into software that represent
progress towards a target state of best engineering practice, simplification
and standardization
·
Ability to unambiguously communicate through multiple channels such as
Presentations, Word Documents , Workshops and Agile Development Meetings
