Description

We are seeking a well-rounded individual that has experience with many different application infrastructure technologies. Someone who likes the challenge of learning new technologies, and then developing architectures and designs for those new technologies. Someone who will work directly with key stakeholders to define problems and determine solution requirements. This person will lead a small team of infrastructure architects, on a highly collaborative team, working together to engineer infrastructure solutions for Humana. Responsibilities

The Lead Infrastructure Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new IT infrastructure products and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Support of container images
Multiple web server platforms
Hardware load balancers and networking
Automating infrastructure build and configuration


Team project leadership, tracking, and outcomes


Provide 1 on 1 architectural discussions with team members when necessary for projects
Track tasks on ADO boards/backlogs
Moving tasks forward


Advancing technologies and architectures


Multi-year goals for technologies we support
Drive Automation


Monitoring tickets and escalation requests


Operational tasks
Trend problems/issues
Relationships with other teams
Major Outages
Assist on-call with major outages


Work with others


Interact with peers in the department, leaders (managers/ADs/directors/AVPs/VPs) in other technical departments/engineering, and sometimes business
Providing IT architecture recommendations/guidance, troubleshooting information


Required Qualifications


Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Netscaler/ Citrix ADC
7 or more years of infrastructure experience
2 or more years of project leadership experience
Experience integrating new technologies with existing technologies
Experience implementing technologies with enterprise-wide impact
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Experience with container platform and image support
Experience with multiple web server platforms
Experience with hardware load balancers and networking


Preferred Qualifications


Master's Degree in a Technical Field
Leadership/management experience
Container support (platform and images) VMWare Tanzu, PCF, IBM Cloud Pak, AKS (Azure), GKS (Google), EKS (Amazon)
Microsoft Azure or other cloud providers
Microsoft IIS
