Need an A3 poster( urgent in 3 hours max)
Plan an A3 poster advertising an exhibition of the work of your chosen individual. Please base your design on an
idea pertaining to the work of your subject. For example, does your subject have a particular style? Are they
known for a particular colour palette or use of imagery? Do they address a particular audience? Consider what
it is they are known for, in visual terms.
Refer not just to your subject’s work but also to the work of successful poster designers and poster design
in general.
The poster can be produced as a pencil drawing, a painting, a collage, an InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop
document – in short, in any medium you feel is appropriate or to which you have access.
Include your background sketches, visual research and development work.
Please write a 500-word evaluation of your poster. Tell us how it was made or would be made. What is it trying to
communicate in terms of ideas? How would it compare to examples of similar posters by other designers?
Consider the use of type, imagery and form in the piece.
This brief and the assessment criteria are designed to accommodate individuals with different levels of internet
access and reduced access to software, and we will be using these criteria as a basis for the grade we give you.
We will be looking for evidence of an awareness of the principles of design and design thinking, whether shown
visually or written.
Concept 25% How have you related your own design to the work of your subject? What is the idea on which
you have based your work?
Form 25% Have you demonstrated an awareness of scale, flow, movement etc within your poster?
Typography 25% Have you demonstrated an understanding of the effective use of type?
Development of design 25% Please show us how your design developed from your first thoughts to finished
article, using sketches, different iterations you worked through and visual research.
