Position Summary
Note- This role is REMOTE; we will consider candidates who are located anywhere within the United States.
The Software Engineering Manager will hold responsibility for front-end initiatives across multiple platforms. This individual will be responsible for several teams that include storefront features, A/B testing, and tracking across the ecommerce experience. It will require oversight and guidance for both full time and consultants over architectural approaches and long term solutioning. The ideal candidate has a passion for collaboration with cross functional partners and is eager to find creative solutions to technical issues. Due to the Global nature of this role, this candidate will collaborate closely with partners locally and from offices around the globe, enabling UA teammates to work smarter.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate, design, architect and implement new solutions across cross-functional teams
Mentor, recruit, on-board and guide engineering teammates
Oversee and organize multiple projects with varying complexity
Act as owner for setting standards and best practices to improve performance, availability and scalability based on both technical and business considerations
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
​​​​​Expertise with modern web development capabilities with focus on frontend capabilities (Javascript, React, CSS preprocessors, Markup)
Ability to support & guide work including frontend development, enhancing performance, tracking setup and strategies, A/B testing, SEO, accessibility, and content delivery
Experience working with a content management system
Ideal candidate has experience with some of the following types of tools: browser tracking management tools (ex: Adobe DTM/Launch, Tealium) content management systems (ex: CoreMedia, Magnolia), A/B testing tools (ex: Adobe Target, AB Tasty)
Nice to have, but not required: knowledge of Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) or large-scale systems, experience building a PWA
Education And / Or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or 7 years of hands-on experience in a development environment.
Minimum of 1 year people manager experience preferred
Strong desire to learn and is quick to pick up new concepts
Passion for development and ability to dig into solving problems
