Job Summary:
Done right, this role will make the jobs of many, easier. You should be an experienced technologist that has the right “Attitude & Aptitude” to learn and make an impact working on cloud-based platforms with a passion for data and analytics. The ideal candidate has excellent technical knowledge on Power BI, including desktop development, dataset modeling, and gateway management. In addition, experience creating or adhering to enterprise-wide standards, particularly on the Power BI Service and Power BI Tenant, is preferred.
Other desired skills include proficiency in SQL, Google Cloud Platform (including BigQuery), AtScale, and data modeling (including star, snowflake, and 3rd normal form).
Power BI (Desktop, Service, Gateway, Tenant)
Database modeling knowledge (star schema data marts preferable)
Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery)
Advanced SQL skills with experience using analytics functions, CTE’s and performance tuning
OLAP experience is a must (AtScale preferred but SSAS experience is a plus)
MDX/DAX hands on experience
Experience standing up self-service governance and analytics environment.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or an equivalent degree with experience equating to a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
Minimum of 5 years of business intelligence and data visualization experience.
