Assistant District Attorney
The candidate will be responsible for prosecuting criminal cases in entirety, from reviewing cases for possible criminal prosecution all the way through guilty plea/trial and the appeals period if necessary. Working with law enforcement to review/approve cases; reading and analyzing discovery material in preparing for cases; preparing and trying criminal cases; interviewing witnesses; preparing and responding to motions and briefs; conducting research; attending various court proceedings including preliminary and pretrial hearings; representing the Commonwealth in all stages of Juvenile Court; sentencing and post-conviction proceedings; reviewing and approving search warrants and various felony criminal complaints, as well as other duties assigned by the District Attorney.
