Join GDIT and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. The Navy's Personnel Modernization (PersMod) team is searching for a Senior Systems Administrator to join their program.

As the Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for:


Creating and managing VPC, URL proxies, C2S access points

Daily systems administration, monitoring, and system maintenance on RHEL 7 Instances
Performs software installations, upgrades, patch installs to operating systems and layered software packages
Diagnosis and troubleshoot problems related to the OS, hardware, network, and related software
Ensures that performance and security of virtual servers meet the needs of network users
Troubleshoot and configure servers in a virtual environment
Assisting end users on the proper use of hardware and software
Perform periodic SCAP and STIG requirements needed to harden servers
Conduct basic hardware and software audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
Document work for leadership, update/create Standard Operating Procedures, and brief staff and customers various tasks


Basic Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree; additional experience may be substituted for the degree
6 years of experience in network/systems administration; Administering, optimizing, and configuring applications on Linux server; Creating and configuring new servers in a virtual environment (AWS preferred); Improving system operations and functionality, monitoring and optimization of the servers; Configuring cloud services (CloudFormation, Route 53, CloudTrail, API Gateway, etc)
Experience managing VPC, URL proxies, and C2S access points
Working knowledge of Oracle databases
PERSMOD experience
Security Secret; Able to obtain Top Secret Clearance
