Job Description:

The Schlumberger Full Stack Developer develops Cloud micro-services, infrastructure and web applications to support PaaS, IaaS and CaaS applications. The Developer evaluates emerging technologies and provides strategic innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions to increase efficiency, reliability, extensibility and integration of Schlumberger services and operations, working in a semi-autonomous environment where fast prototyping emerging technologies to solve industry-related problems is the rule. The position develops all aspects of software applications, from the front-end to the back-end in timely manner and reports to the software project manager.

Requirements:

Background


Bachelors or Master degree in computer science or related.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience


Technical skills – Must haves


Understand both the front-end and back-end and know their way around servers, databases, APIs, MVC, and hosting environments among others
Strong working experience in Python, Node.js, TypeScript, Scala, Java, JSON
Experience with Go, Bash, Linux
Strong understanding of multi-threading and distributed applications
Some experience building web applications using AngularJS 4 Knowledge of containerization technologies - Docker, Kubernetes
Solid knowledge of Restful architecture and use cases
Knowledge of security principles (Oauth2, JWT, OpenAPI)
Basic knowledge of application networking and troubleshooting skills
Experienced in application profiling and bottleneck analysis
Basic knowledge of NoSQL database
Understand continuous integration and continuous delivery (Jenkins etc.)
Experienced in modular design and library development for reuse
Experienced in design and implement good unit test and integration test coverage


Technical skills – Better to have


Some experience with C#/ C / programming language
Experience with Cloud Technologies and developing applications such as Google cloud platform, Azure, OCP, AWS.
Knowledge of trade offs among PaaS, CaaS and IaaS cloud based solutions
Experienced in application performance optimization (including networking)
Experience with RPC and / or WebSocket architectures
Has setup CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, AzureDevOps or similar tools
Good software development practice : small Pull Request, work in progress etc.
Thoughtful, organizing, understanding and querying databases


General skills


Learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, and communication skills. Capable of juggling multiple projects and related complexities at the same time.
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Have a good understanding of latest technology trends for developing back end for Cloud applications
Work on a wide variety of tasks using emerging technologies


Responsibilities:


Collaborates with designers, developers and product owners to implement scalable and interactive applications.
Identifies and keeps abreast of novel technical concepts and markets.
Provides technical leadership and documentation to developers and stakeholders.
Applies usability procedures and principles as defined at project or product-line level or through customer input.
Builds prototypes, products and systems that meets the project quality standards and requirements.
Builds sophisticated and elegant user interfaces
Contributes to and supports re-use through common components that are well documented and tested.
Interacts and engages with customers, users, and product managers and technical architects to understand needs and increase positive impact of users’ experience.
