The newly created Corporate Relations Content Adviser (the Netherlands) position is based in Krakow, Poland, where a growing communications community provides Shell’s global businesses with solutions in internal/external communications, community relations, content development and campaigning, brand and reputation management, commercial deal-making support, cutting-edge creative solutions and professional operations at the nerve centre of the Function.

The successful candidate will be working with Shell NL’s Newsroom in producing, publishing and distributing content that builds and enhances Shell’s reputation in the Netherlands. As an experienced CR Content Advisor with an outside in mindset you will strengthen data-driven, impactful communication to key audiences in the Netherlands, thus bringing Shell’s messaging alive and building understanding for Shell’s strategy, strengths and objectives. You will work alongside content creators, (social) spokespersons, corporate communications advisors and external creative agencies in content creation. Given the reputational context in NL and working in the heart of the Newsroom, the candidate should ideally be able to hit the ground running.

What you will be doing?


Work closely with our Dutch content team to create compelling written and visual content to support Shell in the Netherlands.
Develop content solutions for our digital and social channels.
Manage and maintain core content on digital platforms; keeping content fresh and maximizing SEO and tagging opportunities to ensure high value audience access
Ensure strong measurement and data analysis of communications and content performance and implement improvements on a continuous basis
Ensure content meets branding and compliance standards plus form a relationship with Shell’s Investor Relations team to understand their priorities and make sure their input is processed in our publications.
Create and/or manage a database of images and assets.


What we need from you?


Excellent Dutch written and verbal skills. An accomplished and confident writer.
Skilled in developing persuasive and engaging content, that suits the intended outcomes and audience
Proven ability to adapt message, language, style and tone to audience , channel and intent, demonstrating knowledge of potential media perception
Ability or willingness to learn to conceive and produce powerful visual aids – quote cards, carrousels etc in support of key messages; ideally tech savvy with PowerPoint skills and basic info graphic / illustrations skills (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud)
Applies measurement to gain insights and communicate the impact of content
A genuine interest in the energy industry and a finger on the pulse of the world outside Shell
Strong in business partnering, including track record in forming and sustaining relationships with senior business and functional leaders.
Strong project management experience; ability to focus resources where they have the most impact
An integrator , who collaborates across boundaries to maximize value for Shell
A learner mindset; being a role model in your levels of curiosity and reflection and encouraging people to learn from their mistakes and successes
