Team Overview
Brightcove’s Global Services team draws from deep digital media expertise to address our client's complex issues that go beyond Brightcove's standard set of products. The current portfolio of Programs and Projects that the PMO carries ranges from multi-year global media OTT solutions (strategy, design, and development) to targeted video experience add-ons for our Digital Marketing and Media clientele.
The Global Services PMO is engaged in two types of activity:
Advisory Services, where we work with our top tier clients to roadmap, plan, and execute on specific targets in their digital media strategies across multiple parties- both within and without Brightcove, and
Technology Services, where we provide custom and innovative experiences around Brightcove products in collaboration with our talented in-house Global Services Technology team.
We love to learn and to push the boundaries of what is currently possible. We're looking for the best and brightest to help our clients with leading edge thinking, to influence innovation in Brightcove's products, and to build solutions that will power the Digital Media players of the future.
Job Responsibilities
Work closely with developers and designers in an action oriented engineering organization to plan, build and test high quality and high performance components of our digital media deployment product.
Work with product management to identify use case scenarios and create and execute test plans to validate those use cases.
Work together with the whole project team to validate the quality of our releases
Identify test automation opportunities and tools to automate both unit and functional tests
Find and report product usability issues, defects and incompatibilities.
Configure and maintain Windows, Macintosh, and other platform- based test systems.
Help develop test standards and procedures.
Be a contributor to the development of the QA test frameworks.
Qualifications/Experience
3-5 years of Software QA experience
Prior experience with scripting test automation
Coding experience with Java and/or Flex - ideally past junit and or Flexunit test development experience.
Good working knowledge of SQL and XML
Excellent knowledge of web technologies
Excellent analytical skills with strong problem solving abilities
Experience troubleshooting problems and isolating defects
Confidence to participate and contribute in a fast-paced and technologically aggressive development team
